Tech Tip:
The inside of the rail is hardened. With age and contaminates in fuel, we have seen the inside of these rails start to pit. If you remove the rail pressure sensor from your old rail and see pitting on the surface, the rail should not be reinstalled on the machine. In addition, the pressure sensor to rail sealing area is metal to metal. There is no o-ring or gasket. If pitting has occurred or there is imperfections in the sealing surface, you may experience a high pressure fuel leak after reinstalling the rail pressure sensor. If this is the case, this new replacement rail is the best option
